By creating an account or continuing to use Scholar Speech you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service.

You confirm you are of legal age to enter a contract, and that if you use Scholar Speech on behalf of an organisation you have authority to bind that organisation.

Scholar Speech accepts text, documents, images and links you submit, analyses them, can look up publicly available sources, prepares a written explanation or report, and can synthesise audio you may play and download. Some tasks need a signed-in account.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Scholar Speech for your own work. You may not resell or redistribute the service, reverse engineer it, or circumvent usage or rate limits.

You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

You must not use Scholar Speech to:

• break any law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
• commit fraud, send spam, or impersonate another person or organisation;
• generate hate speech, harassment, sexual content involving minors, instructions for weapons or malware, or synthetic speech intended to deceive people about who is speaking (deepfakes);
• attempt to jailbreak, prompt-inject, or otherwise bypass the safety limits of the models we use;
• interfere with the security or integrity of the service, including probing, scraping, distributing malware, or overwhelming our infrastructure.

You keep ownership of the text you submit ("input"). You confirm you have the rights needed to submit it and to have it processed, researched, and read aloud. You grant us a limited licence to host and process your input, and the resulting script and audio, solely to provide and support the service.

You are responsible for your prompts, for how you use the generated script and audio ("output"), and for verifying output before relying on or publishing it. Subject to your rights in your input, you may use output for any lawful purpose.

If you believe content processed through Scholar Speech infringes your rights, email support@scholarspeech.com with the material and the basis of your claim and we will investigate and remove infringing content where appropriate. Repeated or serious infringement leads to account termination.

Scholar Speech uses large language models, web search and text-to-speech. Output may be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and cited sources may themselves be unreliable. The analytical roles used to structure an explanation are functional labels, not real people, institutions or credentials, and no part of the output is professional advice. Where the workspace separates sourced evidence from AI analysis, treat only the sourced material as evidence. Do not rely on output for medical, legal, financial or other consequential decisions without qualified human review.

We may filter, refuse, restrict, or remove content and outputs, and suspend accounts, to enforce these terms or the policies of our model providers.

We retain all rights in Scholar Speech, including its software, prompts, research pipeline, documentation, design, and branding. Nothing here transfers that ownership.

We work to keep Scholar Speech available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. The service depends on third-party model, search, and hosting providers and may be unavailable during maintenance or incidents.

Access to Scholar Speech and its features is not sold. There are no plans, subscriptions, checkout or stored payment details in the product, and no charge is made to you.

Creative publishing, portfolios, community and marketplace activity are not part of Scholar Speech; they belong to the separate AMOK Creative Hub service, which has its own terms. Nothing in Scholar Speech is offered for sale to or by you.

Should any charge have been made to your account in the past, the terms of our Refund Policy apply to it.

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, suspected fraud or security risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the service at any time. On termination your licence ends; you can download saved audio and reports from your session history before you lose access, and we delete or anonymise remaining personal data as described in our Privacy Notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The service is provided "as is".

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special loss, including lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill. The service is supplied without charge, so where a monetary cap is permitted our aggregate liability is limited to any amount you have actually paid us, which is currently nil. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

You indemnify us against claims arising from your input, your use of output, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.

You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. We may update these terms and will change the date at the top of this page; continued use after an update means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the parties' transaction in the jurisdiction where the user is located, interpreted on a worldwide basis without exclusive regard to the conflict-of-laws rules of any single country or state. Any dispute may be resolved in the courts competent for the user's jurisdiction or, at our election, in the courts competent for the location of the service provider.
