Refund Policy
Last updated 7 August 2026
Scholar Speech has no plans, subscriptions or payments, so no charge is made. This policy covers any historical charge on an account: a 30-day money-back guarantee from the order date.
What is covered
There are no plans, subscriptions or payments in Scholar Speech, so in normal use there is nothing to refund.
This policy exists for any historical charge on an account. It covers change of mind as well as cases where the service did not work as described.
Time already used is deducted (pro-rated refunds)
Where a historical charge covered a period of access, the days already used are deducted and only the unused days are refunded — for example, a charge refunded on day 10 of 30 returns the remaining 20 days.
If all 30 days have been used there is no unused time left to refund, so the request is reviewed by a person rather than paid automatically. One-off library purchases are not time-based and are refunded in full. The exact refund figure for each charge is shown before you submit at Request a refund.
How to request a refund
The quickest route is the in-app refund form at Request a refund, where you can pick the exact charge and send the request at any stage of your billing. Refunds are issued by us and processed through our payment provider, Stripe. You can also email us at support@scholarspeech.com. Refunds are returned to your original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel Standard or Creator at any time from Billing & subscription in your account. Cancelling stops future renewals; your paid features stay available until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the account returns to the Free plan.
Beyond the guarantee period
After 30 days we consider refund requests case by case — for example duplicate charges, billing errors, or an outage that stopped you using the service. Get in touch and we will look into it.
